Calvin Ridley's Season-Ending Injury: Titans vs Texans Breakdown | NFL Week 11 Analysis (2025)

Titans' Star Receiver Calvin Ridley Sustains Season-Ending Injury

The Tennessee Titans suffered a setback in their playoff push as star wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffered a broken fibula in their 16-13 loss to the Houston Texans. The injury occurred on the team's first offensive play, when Ridley caught a pass from Cam Ward and favored his right ankle, limping off the field with the help of the training staff. He was later carted into the locker room.

Ridley had been out since Week 6 due to a hamstring injury, playing only six snaps in the team's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite his limited playing time, Ridley has been a key contributor this season, catching 17 passes for 301 yards. The Titans will now have to rely on veteran wide receiver Van Jefferson to fill the void.

The Titans' injury woes continued with the news that wide receiver/returner Chimere Dike was also ruled out with a chest injury. Dike suffered his injury after muffing a punt just before halftime, a disappointing turn of events for the rookie return man who was leading the NFL in all-purpose and return yards entering Week 11. The team's kick returner for the third quarter, running back Julius Chestnut, will now take on additional responsibilities.

The Titans' injury-plagued season highlights the challenges faced by the team as they strive to remain competitive in the highly competitive NFL.
